The GPStar Spirit / DIY Proton Pack and Neutrona Wand kit. This kit is for use with any Proton Pack shell while using the Hasbro Spengler or 1984 Neutrona Wand.

Cyclotron Bypass Kit

  • Cyclotron Bypass Board pre-soldered. (The 9 LED cyclotron kit connects to the screw terminals)
  • 850mm JST-XH Extension cable for the Cyclotron lights.

Main Features

  • Designed to be updated with new features and future optional add-ons. (Programming cable included)
  • The Video Game firing modes, volume control.
  • 4 different modes!
  • Can turn on the Proton Pack via the Neutrona Wand Activate Switch.
  • 1984/1989 mode uses the middle LED only for an accurate look. (The 3 LED per lens option can be toggled via the Wand sub menu).
  • Clockwise/Counter clockwise cyclotron direction.
  • Start up and shut down ramping lights/sound sequence.
  • Continuous firing! You can fire your stream forever or have it overheat depending on the power level of the steam.
  • Wand tail firing sound when you stop firing (3 variations based on how long you have been firing)
  • The Neutrona Wand only fires when the barrel is extended and the 2 right side toggle switches are activated unlike the stock Wand.
  • Neutrona Wand bargraph has new animations.
  • Three - 5V pin relays (they trigger during overheat and occasionally while continuous firing).

User Controlled Menu Settings

A DEEP Neutrona Wand settings menu:

  • Accessed via the barrel’s orange hat light after toggling The Video Game modes or while the Neutrona Wand is powered down.
  • Music playback control, volume control for Pack/Wand, independent music volume control for Pack/Wand, independent sound effects volume control for Pack/Wand, loop music track, change track.
  • Neutrona Wand sub menu allowing you to toggle various main features.

Polyphonic Sound

Utilising Polyphonic technology from GPStar Audio, this kit can play and mix up to 14 stereo tracks simultaneously and independently.

  • Your Proton Pack boots up and the idle sound effects overlay/transition smoothly.
  • You boot up the Neutrona Wand via the 3 toggle sequence accurate to the Afterlife and Frozen Empire films and notice each unique toggle effect that is played is layered on top of each other.
  • You Fire! While blasting away with the Proton stream you can still hear all the layers of sound effects that came before...the Proton Pack effects, each Neutrona Wand toggle effect, etc.
  • Oh and let's not forget music mode. Yes while your Proton Pack is rocking out tracks from your favourite scenes you can still operate it with all of it's accompanying sound effects independently and once again layered on top of the music
  • You may also notice during all this that the transitions between sound effects are smoothly layered with no janky transitions.

    The heart of the GPStar system, our Proton and Neutrona Wand boards. With many connections, the GPStar boards were designed with expandability in mind. Fully reprogrammable with the included programming cable for future firmware updates with new features!

  • GPStar Cyclotron LEDs + N-Filter Light

    Our powerful in house developed polyphonic audio board. While your Proton Pack is rocking out music tracks from your favourite scenes, you can still operate it with all of its accompanying sound effects independently and once again layered on top of the music. Meanwhile, all the transitions between sound effects are smoothly layered with no janky transitions.

  • GPStar Amplifier

    Our powerful 15 watt + 15 watt 12V stereo amplifier with built-in ground loop isolator, the audio playback will be crisp and clean with no interference. It also doubles as power hub with the ability to provide power to add-on accessories.

  • Neutrik Quick Release & Hose System

    The Neutrik quick release system with our mounting brackets, allows you to easily detach your Neutrona Wand from your Proton Pack at ease, as seen in Afterlife and Frozen Empire. A Splitless loom hose is also included with a pre-wired 4 pin CNLinko quick release connector for the Proton Pack side.

    A compact bargraph with included mounts for installation into your Hasbro Neutrona Wand.

  • GPStar Cyclotron LEDs + N-Filter Light

    RGB enabled cyclotron boards with 9 LED's per board. This replicates the Afterlife and Frozen Empire spinning cyclotron but also the classic 1984/1989 single light mode. The colour changing abilities also gives you the Video Game mode colours in your cyclotron or even your own custom colours which we call"Spectral Mode"which can be configured from the menu system.

  • GPStar Power Cell

    The GPStar Power Cell. This is a 15 LED RGB Power Cell that has the ability to change colours with our"Spectral Mode"and The Video Game modes. Also available in the 1984 version which replicates the spacing between the lights from the original films.

  • RGB Vent Lights

    The GPStar RGB Vent Lights provide colour changing abilities for your Neutrona Wand in an easy to install single board solution.

  • Neutrona Barrel 50 Barrel LED kit

    The GPStar Neutrona Barrel provides a smooth and detailed neutrona stream animation inside your Neutrona Barrel for your Hasbro Neutrona Wand. The two LEDs on the tip also act as a Neutrona Wand emitter tip light.

  • Hatlight Kit

    Additional lighting and wiring to further enhance your Neutrona Wand!

Required Components (Not Included)

  • Speakers

    There are many options available and it's really up to you. We recommend taking two 3" speakers which is more than enough to Pack a punch.

    The recommended speakers are:

    For cheaper alternatives, while not as high quality, the following will also work: 3" 15w speakers

  • 2 Micro SD Cards

    Two high quality Micro SD Cards are required. One for the Proton Pack and the other for the Neutrona Wand.

  • Battery

    • A regulated 5V is required to power the system with up to 2 amps is recommended.
    • The TalentCell Rechargeable 3000mAh 12V/5V battery Pack is recommended as it has input connections to output both 5v and 12v without modifications/added components needed. The 12V/5V TalentCell can be useful if you decide to use a 12V amp for your Proton Pack audio. However any other battery can work as long as it meets the power requirements indicated.
